I love art – of all kinds. I began my own career as a painter and printmaker with a focus on screen printing. I produced a number of works including a number of large paintings that hang in various collections in Canada, the U.S. and the United Kingdom. My print making moved from traditional prints on paper to prints on aluminum panels. Again, some of these prints are in collections and one of them was chosen for the permanent collection of art displayed in Canada House in Trafalgar Square in London. In recent years, I moved to photography. You can see a sample of my work in this field at my website, sandiralph.com.
I am also an avid reader. I like books and essays on photography, of course, along with a large number of websites focusing on photography. But, I have to admit to a weakness for thrillers and mysteries. I get sheer enjoyment, and a few chills, from the potboilers by both popular and Indie authors.
This blog deals with both visual art and books. I’m beginning with novels from my own library – actually ebooks because they are so easy for you to get and read if you accept any of my suggestions. Most of the books I read at available at Amazon, Kobo, Kindle and other sites. I hope you get a kick out of some of these books as well as from the photos at my website.
